REVIEWS

quote Great variety of traditional Malaysian food with some on special prices. Ordered their pork noodle (dry version) , kolomee, curry mee and chicken rice All of them come out in timely manner and quite flavourful too. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

quote This place offers such an affordable price for their menu. The portion is huge (for me!) and it tastes good! Just perfect. The staff is very friendly. Strongly recommend to stop by if you are around.

quote I was super excited to finally try their AUD$10 Hainan chicken rice & traditional kolo mee. Both are decent portions and quite filling. The Hainan chicken rice was well worth it, the kolo mee was ok, though people said it's very authentic. Nice and spacious environment. Will visit again. 2nd visit we had Sarawak laksa, pork noodle soup, pork & century egg congee (fresh batch every 2 days), vinegar pork trotter with rice & fish head noodle soups. I don't think either of the noodle dishes & congee were great. The pork trotter was quite yum for $10 though. Will stick with rice dishes next time!

quote Don't listen to the boomers yapping about how the food doesn't 100% taste like their grandmother's cooking or how it was back in their kampong. Don't be mistaken, Nan Yang Express is the culinary establishment of the people. $10 for a Nasi Lemak, Chicken Rice or Kolo Mee which is about 80-90% of authenticity in taste and a very fair portion. Add Sarawak Laksa, Fish Head Beehoon and many other main dishes to the mix and this can easily be one of the best Malaysian/Singaporean restaurants in the country. Customer service is expected of any East/South East Asian restaurant. Remember to write your table number on your order! With ample free parking at the back, $10 per meal and opening hours till 9pm, Nan Yang Express represents the beacon of hope to the SEA Chinese diaspora far from home(or anyone messed up by inflation really) and hungry for a good deal.

quote Malaysian/Singaporean restaurant with mostly individual dishes i.e. noodles and rice and some sharing side dishes. With prices starting from $10 it is one of the best cheap eats in Melbourne. The portion is generous for the price, it came out fairly quick and tasted good too. Loh Bak was crispy on the outside and tasty on the inside. The nasi Lemak had a fragrant sambal. Kolo Mee was tasty and Moorish. The Pork noodle came with a soup that was delicious, however the noodle was overcooked. Food - 8 Service - 8 Vibe - 7 Price - $
